la joie de vivre

From California to Lyon, France: living & studying abroad…and coming back!

A little pastry celebration :)

After our translation final yesterday, Noelle, Tannaz, and I went to celebrate the end of the class by going to one of their favorite bakeries near Hôtel de Ville. I had never been there before, but I was up to checking it out (and plus we only have a little bit of time here left in Lyon – might as well go to places I haven’t been yet!)

We bought our selection of pastries and sat by a beautiful gothic church nearby.

Even though we were in the wind, we were still soooo happy. Noelle and Tannaz both got something that looked like the pastry version of a hamburger!

They said it was reallyyyy good, and I believe them because mine were delicious too :) My pastries were only 1 euro each! They were smaller versions of the bakery’s bigger “trois chocolates” (3 chocolates: white, milk, and dark) and “cigare” (cigar, a pastry in that shape filled with delicious chocolate mousse).

C’était bien!!! :)
