la joie de vivre

From California to Lyon, France: living & studying abroad…and coming back!

Free Stuff!

Being a student in France sure has its perks when it comes to doing touristy things, including visiting some of the best museums and monuments in the world. If you’re a student under 26 years old in the European Union, you can get free admission or reduced admission to a whole lot of amazing places.

Ah, I love it! One more reminder that this study abroad experience is really a one-of-a-kind moment in my life :)

Some places include:

  • Centre Pompidou: free admission for the permanent collection
  • Eiffel Tower: reduced admission
  • Arc de Triomphe: reduced admission
  • L’Orangerie (Monet’s very zen waterlily collection): free
  • Musée d’Orsay (collection of sculptures, lots of impressionist work, and more): free
  • Louvre: free
  • Versailles: free
